Lots 1 to 51 : Numismatic collection " CHARTRES

This beautiful collection of coins from Chartres and the Chartres region was put together in the years 1980 to 2000 by a passionate regionalist amateur. The coins were acquired from the great professional numismatists of the time, Silberstein, Platt, OGN, Crédit de la Bourse, Bourgey, etc.. and are generally accompanied by their original label which indicates their origin.

The series of Gallic coins from the Chartres region is quite complete with gold and division staters, silver drachms, numerous bronzes, epigraphic or not, and potins. A beautiful series of Carolingian coins, some rare, follows with Charlemagne, Charles the Bald, Eudes and Raoul, before a series of feudal coins from the 10th and 12th centuries, mainly from Chartres or Châteaudun.
