First edition. He founded an educational institution in Versailles, and devoted himself to poetry, unfortunately in the satirical genre: he made enemies in all classes of society. In 1788, he was imprisoned in Bicêtre, under the pretext of corrupting the morals of his pupils. A journalist and deputy to the Convention, he was guillotined in 1793 after denouncing revolutionary fanaticism.
