ROLEWINCK, Werner - Fasciculus Temporum omnes antiquorum cronicas succincte complectens. Paris, Jehan Petit, 1518. In-4, (6), 93 (1) ff, gothic car, woodcuts, added faux-title in gothic calligraphy, contemporary fawn calf, cold-stamped boards decorated with juxtaposed scrolls containing rosettes, spine ribbed ref. traces of cords, boards slightly warped (Parisian binding). ADAMS R-676. MOREAU II, 1941. A chronicle that appeared around 1474 and enjoyed great success. It was written by a Carthusian monk born in Laer near Horstmar in 1425. This edition is extended to February 28 1518, the date of the Dauphin's birth. Illustrated with numerous woodcuts, including two of the largest: the Crucifixion and the Annunciation. Numerous representations, including Noah's Ark, the Tower of Babel, monsters, mermaids and city views of Venice, Athens, Troy in flames, Jerusalem, Rome, etc. Ex-libris ms. Celestinorum Parisiensium.
