One of the three great mythographers of the 16th century, along with Giraldi and Cartari. Conti's and Cartari's manuals were reliable guides for artists and their public. From p. 1064 to 1123 is the poem De Venatione (On the Hunt) in four books, first published by Aldus in 1551.
