Apple Picking, Europe, circa 1850 Folded fan, the double sheet in skin, lithographed and gouached with young people picking apples. The composition is reminiscent of François Boucher's "Cherry Picking". The reverse features a couple among gilded foliage, the border composed of foliage and birds. Engraved and gilded bone mount decorated with a flower. H.t. 27 cm-H.f. 13.7 cm
