SEM - White Bottoms. S. l., 1927. In-folio, 43 plates, one o - Lot 652
SEM - White Bottoms. S. l., 1927. In-folio, 43 plates, one on a double page, size 50 X 32 cm, leaves in a slightly faded color-illustrated jacket, a few tears on the spine, not missing. Caricatures of French nightlife in the Roaring Twenties, stencil-colored plates by Georges Goursat (1863-1954), known as SEM. Some are advertisements for champagne, cigarettes and perfumes. Pencil captions often reveal the identities of worldly figures or arbiters of elegance.
