ZOLA Émile [Paris, 1840 - id., 1902], French writer. - Lot 144
ZOLA Émile [Paris, 1840 - id., 1902], French writer. Autograph letter signed, addressed to a colleague. Paris, August 6, 1892; 1 page in-8°. E. Zola has just given the "Radical" newspaper a copy of his novel "La Débâcle", the 19th volume in the Rougon-Macquart series. "I have given the first reproduction of "La Débâcle" in Paris to the "Radical", which will not begin publication until October. We must therefore wait until this publication has begun, and the provincial newspapers will then be able to reproduce my novel."
