Second issue of Gosizdat's catalog of publications, richly illustrated with plates depicting the covers of avant-garde works created by renowned artists such as Liubov Popova, Aleksandr Rodtchenko and Yuri Annenkov. The cover itself, in a constructivist style, reflects the avant-garde aesthetic of the period. Founded in May 1919, Gosizdat became the state publishing house OGIZ in 1930. This institution played a key role in the dissemination of Soviet avant-garde art and literature, publishing such major works as Dlia Golosa, Pro Eto, Lef, Novyi Lef, Mess Mend, among others.
