MARKÉVITCH Igor [Kiev, 1912 - Antibes, 1983], Italian conduc - Lot 219
MARKÉVITCH Igor [Kiev, 1912 - Antibes, 1983], Italian conductor and composer. Important lot of 20 letters or postcards, autographed or typed and signed, addressed to Mr. Denis Evesque, dated between 1976 and 1982. - Friendly correspondence talking about trips and concerts given or planned. "Your opinion of Magaloff's interpretation of my variations has brought everything into focus. Having said that, the English press is of a desperate standard. Of course, I would be a thousand times grateful if you could persuade Cherkassky or the young pianist Roberts, of whom you speak so highly, to take an interest in the variations or in Stefan the poet, whom in his genre I like just as much.
