MEDICINE - Lot 133
MEDICINE
Set of two letters from the second half of the 19th century, addressed to M. Saint-Maur. 7 pages in-8°. Very interesting and unusual text on the auscultation of a patient and the care provided: "Cod liver oil was accepted without any strong repugnance; breakfast with a fork was taken with a fair amount of pleasure, then the good letters from Madame votre Mère and the Maréchale were read without any fatigue. We even read the President's speech to Abdel Kader. At 1 a.m., the doctors arrived, having just carried out the auscultation, and I took advantage of their secret conference to say a few words to you."
