Dutch poster. The Hague, February 10, 1795; 33 x 41 cm, in French. Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité" header with handsome woodcut vignette. "Les représentants du peuple hollandois ayant appris par une notification officielle des représentants du peuple françois, en date de ce jour, que l'on pourrait insérer deux paragraphes de notre proclamation du deux février, lesquels comment par ces mots : "Et comme nous n'avons en vue dans ces arrangements" ; et finissant par ceux cy : "suivant l'exigence des cas, même de mort" ; que nous voulions défendre aux habitants d'accepter libre des assignats françois dans leurs achats ou dans leurs ventes, ce qui est entièrement contre notre pensée & bonne intention. We hereby declare and rule that we did not intend to prevent the inhabitants from accepting French assignats & that they will be free, on the contrary, to receive them in all kinds of commerce. [...] It is our will & expressly ordered that the two paragraphs quoted above, & found in the publication of the second of this month, shall be considered null & void."
