Small table clock in red-tinted jaspered tortoiseshell veneer and chased ormolu; of architectural form, the wide stave cover supporting a perfume burner; the front features rosettes and foliate scrolls on an amati background centered on a palmette; the dial with twelve enamelled cartouches indicates the hours in Roman numerals; plate signed "B.G. Martinot à Paris". Louis XIV period (missing). H: 38.5 - W: 20 - D: 11.5 cm. Provenance: purchased 1929.
