CHARCOT Jean-Baptiste [Neuilly-sur-Seine, 1867 - at sea, 193 - Lot 290
CHARCOT Jean-Baptiste [Neuilly-sur-Seine, 1867 - at sea, 1936], French scientist and polar explorer.
Autograph letter signed, addressed to his sister. December 10, 1928; 1 page in-4°.
He is upset because he has still not received an invitation for December 15, and is greatly surprised. He mentions possible jealousies "that would explain a lot of things [...] it's certain that many naval officers are jealous of me, but all the same I have good friends in this corps".
