PAGNOL Marcel [Aubagne, 1895 - Paris, 1974], French writer a - Lot 66
PAGNOL Marcel [Aubagne, 1895 - Paris, 1974], French writer and film-maker. Autograph letters, unsigned, addressed to Carmen. 1 page in-12° oblong and 2 pages in-8° on large-ruled large squares. On one page he writes that he has found a green parakeet, and on the other an amusing story: "I once saw a melodrama in which a young woman proudly replied to a billionaire: - Moi, Monsieur, je ne me vendent pas, je me donne! Every evening, the ladies of little virtue of the Republic and the Bastille greeted this reply with bravos and tears".
