OHR pl. 1590. On the arms of the Collège d'Alençon: two adjacent shields, in one, the arms of the Bourbon-Alençon family (three fleurs-de-lis, with a border charged with eight besans); in the other, the eagle of the city of Alençon. In 1774, Louis Stanislas Xavier de France (future King Louis XVIII) took the title of Duke of Alençon. Ex-praemio on title page dated August 1780. OHR cites another copy of the same work with the ex-praemio dated 1779.
