In-8, engraved title, (2) ff, 515 pp, 3 plates, qqs. light stains, gilt morocco, triple gilt thread on covers, fleurs-de-lis at corners, coat of arms in center, ribbed spine with crowned L repeated on entrenerfs, gilt tr. Figures engraved in intaglio by Charles Fosset after Lefebure. On the title, the young King Louis XIV is shown kneeling, offering his temporal power to Mary and Jesus at the foot of Golgotha. With the arms of King Louis XIV, a variant not reproduced in OHR.
