HOLY WEEK] - (L'office de la semaine sainte: en latin et en - Lot 401
HOLY WEEK] - (L'office de la semaine sainte: en latin et en françois, selon l'usage de Rome et de Paris. Paris, Antoine Dezallier, 1676). In-8, 659 (3) pp. lacking title and frontispiece, several tears and oil stains, red marbled boards, gilt dent. on covers, coat of arms in center, spine ribbed and ornamented with the same heraldic furniture repeated on the entrenerfs, dominoed endpapers, gilt tr. OHR pl. 1287 attributes these arms to a member of the Morel family, Ile-de-France, 18th century. A mitre and a crosier also appear as attributes. However, the binding, adorned with small-iron lace, seems to date from the 17th century. The work he refers to, Danicorum Monumentorum, libri sex, is dated 1643.
