In-8, (6) ff. 308 pp. (dern. mal chiff.), yellowed paper, a few light stains, contemporary limp vellum, edges partly faded.
TCH I, 177. The last three pages are miscalculated, as in the complete first edition. It was printed in Geneva by Pierre Aubert in 1630, with the addition of a fourth book (V. De Backer no. 592). Could this be a reissue of the first edition? The pagination errors have in fact disappeared in the other editions of 1630 or 1640, which could be forgeries. The printer was arrested and fined one hundred escus. The author was publicly reprimanded. This edition, the only truly complete one, was used by Mérimée for his 1854 reprint.
