BOUDIN Eugène Louis [Honfleur, 1824 - Deauville, 1898], Fren - Lot 172
BOUDIN Eugène Louis [Honfleur, 1824 - Deauville, 1898], French painter. Autograph letter signed addressed to Mr. Détrimont, famous art dealer. Antibes, April 9 April 1893; 2 pages in-8° with stamped envelope. We join pages of receipts of sales by Détrimont. "I have decided to stay here a few more weeks in order to take advantage of my stay to finish some studies in train. I was able to do so with great difficulty because we are not in a very favorable environment, in full sun, under a blinding light to finish the studies, without the help of a border and in a narrow in a narrow hotel room. Nevertheless I bought, as best I could, some of them that I send to Mr Durand Ruel. I had some difficulty to get back on my feet ... the weather was not very favorable when I arrived, but for a few days now, I have been able to my arrival, but since a few days, we have a radiant sun which velvets the mountains, which makes the sea as intense as indigo... but that does good to the old bones of the painter ".
