PAPON Maurice [Gretz-Armainvilliers, 1910 - Pontault-Combault, 2007], French politician. Typed letter signed, addressed to Mr. Jean de Grandvilliers. Constantine, June 12, 1956. 1 page in-8° with envelope. Heading "The General Inspector of the administration in extraordinary mission for the region of the Algerian East". "Dear Sir and Friend, I always follow with great attention the "Courrier Quotidien", that you are kind enough to send me and I thank you for the friendly and faithful thoughts with which you are willing to accompany each sending. The situation here, although very hard, has serious positive factors, but the game is tight and no mistake can be made, neither on the spot nor in Paris. Handwritten addition "Is there a subscription plan for the "Courrier Quotidien". I would be very happy to participate.
