Ceremonial dress, Greece, late 19th century, sleeveless dress in black silk velvet, extensively embroidered on the bib with floral scrolls in gold guipure embellished with cannetille and foil. Open laced sides, shoulder tabs fastened with two gilded metal buckles set with glass cabochons. Partly lined with cream satin. Discreet tears and some weakness to the velvet along the outer seams.
