This fishing trophy portière bears witness to the commissioners' taste for rustic, rural and maritime subjects, in the legacy of Jean-Baptiste Huet (1745 - 1811). Fish, eel, basket, net and fishing tools hang from a ribbon in the center of the composition. The trophy surmounts a bouquet and is surrounded by garlands of brightly colored flowers.
This elegant portière has retained its beautiful colors.
It is in very good condition, with some wear.
