Saint Jacques blessing a couple, France, circa 1830 Folded fan, the double sheet in etched and enhanced paper with Saint James wearing a pilgrim's coat adorned with scallops, blessing a couple of squires, dressed in medieval fashion. The reverse is illustrated with a concerto featuring a singer, a piper and a harpist. Bone mount pierced with stylized foliage. Height 21.5 cm (restorations, accidents)
