David and Abigail, circa 1730-1740 Folded fan, the leaf in skin, mounted in English style, and painted with the meeting of David and Abigaïl who lays food at his feet. The reverse is painted with a young woman and a bird. Mother-of-pearl mounting, finely pierced and engraved with flowers. H.t. 28,3- H.f. 17 cm (restored and missing, two strands replaced)
