Nicolas I LAUDIN (1628-1698) Saint Catherine of Alexandria Polychrome painted enamel plate on copper. The crowned saint holds the palm of martyrdom, the cogwheel of her torture appears in the lower right; the midnight-blue counter-enamel is signed in gilding by N. Laudin, enameller for the Jesuits in Limoges, and R. Restoux, restorer, Limoges 1985.
