Exhibition: L'Enfant chéri au siècle des Lumières, Marly-le-Roi-Louveciennes, Musée-promenade and Cholet, musée des Beaux-Arts, 2003, no. 74, reproduced (as Drouais). To be compared with other representations of children that Drouais painted, such as the Boy with a Black Spaniel in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, or the Portrait of a Young Boy Playing with a Cat in the Musée Jacquemart André in Paris.
