GAVARNI Paul (Sulpice Guillaume Chevalier, dit) [Paris, 1804 - id., 1866], French draftsman, lithographer and French painter. 3 signed autograph bills addressed to Achille Ricourt, director of L'Artiste, and 6 receipts or signed autograph vouchers. 1833-1834; 3 half-pages in-8° or in-12° of which one with address and 6 pages in-8° obl. Requests for an appointment and sending of a plate of the literary leaves, "I could give you one every month. I could give you one every month. We would do la Mode [title crossed out by him], la Revue, l'Artiste. &c. ". The receipts concern the delivery of plates and drawings, between February 9, 1833 and December 12, 1834. Attached : an autograph letter signed addressed to M. Berthet, administrator of L'Artiste, claiming the money Ricourt owes him for three drawings he redid at his request, as well as two letters of the printer Gabriel Aubert, to Ricourt, the first concerning a contract passed between Gavarni and between Gavarni and Ricourt.
