The work is registered in the Catalog raisonné of the work of Maurice Denis under the index number 927.0047. In the background on the left, one can recognize the birth announcement of of Christophe Poncet, the painter's first grandson, born born on January 16, 1927. His mother Anne-Marie, third daughter of Marthe and Maurice Denis, had married in 1922 to the Geneva-based glass painter Marcel Poncet, who who designed the announcement, presented here framed.
