Decorated with eight diamond-shaped medallions on a brick background, a field of stylized flowers and three octagonal medallions.
The weaving technique of Soumaks differs from other oriental carpets in that the velvet resulting from the knot does not exist, they are in fact carpets woven "in flat stitch", but differently from "kilims".
End of the 19th century, beginning of the 20th century.
285 x 215 cm.
Some weakened parts and a small cut line in the half-width of the carpet.
