Scavizzi, Luca Giordano, vol. I, Naples, 1992, probably the copy cited under n°A117. A copy of Giordano's painting in the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art in Hartford (see opus quoted above, no. A117, reproduced in fig. 194). In a wood and stucco gilt frame decorated with a coat of arms of Claude-Marie MAGNIN (1802-1979). Claude-Marie MAGNIN was bishop of Annecy from 1861 to 1879. His appointment took place the day after the Annexation of Savoy, with the consent of Emperor Napoleon III. Claude Marie Magnin chose the coat of arms of Pierre Magnin, lord of Martheray in the canton of Vaud who lived at the end of the 16th century. They are blazoned as follows: azure with a golden chevron between three silver shells.
