NANCY] - LAMOUR, Jean - Recueil des Ouvrages en Serrurerie, que Stanislas le Bien-faisant, Roy de Pologne, Duc de Lorraine et de Bar, a fait poser sur la place Royale à Nancy, à la gloire de Louis le Bien-aimé. Composed and executed by Jean Lamour his ordinary locksmith with a speech on the art of locksmithing and several other designs of his invention. Nancy, chez l'Auteur, imp. par J. Le Ro, S. d. (1768). In-plane, engraved title and dedication, 5 leaves of text (Preliminary apologetic on the forge, Explanation of the plates, Approval and Privilege), 17 folding plates engraved by Collin and Nicole, lacking 3 plates and half of a 4th, the large multi-paneled plate repaired at the folds, half-bottom marbled, lacks at the headpieces. Ironwork executed by Jean Lamour (1698-1779) for the gates of the Place Royale in Nancy, now Place Stanislas. The dedication to the king is surmounted by a view representing the workshop, drawn and engraved by Collin.
