In-folio, first part: 11 typographical pages, followed by 75 fully engraved pages comprising 75 plates; second part: frontispiece, 31 engraved plates numbered from 1 to 31, plate 25 missing. Except for the first 8 plates, they are all on double page, and sometimes with flaps. Marginal light foxing, brown granite calf, spine ribbed and decorated, headpieces missing, rubbed, corners dulled. Fourth edition, first published in 1623. Practical construction manual for town houses, irreplaceable for a century. He built many of them himself. This book served as a source for the work of this type by Claude Jombert and Jean-François de Neufforge. The buildings represented are: the castle of Pont sur Seine, destroyed - the castle of Chanlay - the castle of Chavigny, partly ruined - the hotel of Avaux.
