The cut-off confession, or the easy way to prepare for particular and general confessions. In which is contained the general examination of all the sins committed by persons of all kinds of states and conditions, which are all cut off, and arranged in such a way that without writing anything down, each article of which one wishes to confess is lifted, and at the moment or after confession, the whole thing is put right and confused with the other sins, as it was before, without other persons being able to know the sins of which one is accused. With a treatise on the more common sins of married people. Reviewed and corrected in this last edition, and supplemented with the Notices and Acts necessary for Confession and Communion. Paris, Denys Thierry and Claude Barbin, 1677. In-12, (26) ff., 188 pp., russeting, large brown spot on pp. 10 and 11, horny sins, 19th century ivory wove vellum, decorated ribbed spine, red t.p., golden Greek framing the upper plate, double golden thread on the lower plate. The cut-out confession anticipates Mille milliards de poèmes by Raymond Queneau. A system of tabs that can be folded back allows you to compose as many confessions as you want.
