Château PAVIE Magnum, 2012 Premier Grand... - Lot 19 - Oger - Blanchet
Château PAVIE Magnum, 2012 Premier Grand Cru classé, Saint Émilion Château Pavie 2012 Château Pavie is one of the most beautiful nuggets of Saint Emilion. Its history is very old. On the famous Pavie hillside where it is located, vines have been cultivated since the 4th century. Its immense potential was sublimated by the arrival of Chantal and Gérard Perse in 1998 who raised it to the top of the hierarchy of the appellation. The vineyard of Château Pavie is made up of a single block of 42 hectares (37 of which are in production), which makes it one of the greatest First Classified Growths of Saint-Émilion. Its terroir of excellence has the particularity of being subdivided into three easily identifiable parts - the limestone plateau, the slope, the foot of the slope - which constitute as many microclimates. 2012 marks the history of the property because it is the first vintage of Château Pavie classified "A", fourteen years after the purchase of the estate by the Perse family. For this occasion, the bottles have a collector's label, black and silver. In keeping with the symbol it bears, Château Pavie 2012 offers a purple color bordering on opaque. At once suave and powerful, with a beautiful maturity, it exhales generous notes of blackberries and black cherries, on a background of toasted oak with an impressive finish. Donor: CHATEAU PAVIE
