NASA / David SCOTT Apollo 9: View of the... - Lot 25 - Oger - Blanchet
NASA / David SCOTT Apollo 9: View of the 'Spider' lunar module in a lunar landing configuration, photographed from the command module. Large chromogenic print on Kodak paper, dedicated by James Mc DIVITT 'Test Flight of Spider for the future Apollo lunar landing, James A.McDivitt Apollo 9 Commander 1969'. 40 x 50 cm A certificate of authenticity issued by Steve Zarelli will be given to the purchaser. During the Apollo 9 mission, the astronauts performed all the maneuvers of a lunar mission, while remaining in Earth orbit. It was on this occasion that the modules were nicknamed Gumdrop and Spider for the Apollo spacecraft and the lem, respectively. These nicknames were intended to avoid any confusion between the two ships in their communication with Earth.
